Maggie Lamb. Past Talk Titles 2006
The Making of Maggies Garden. (updated) Now in its 16th year the garden was achieved on a relatively low budget, and despite the limited time restrictions that a young family imposed, it now has some well established and interesting plants. This talk evolved because everyone always asks me what my garden is like? what are my favourite plants? and am I an organic gardener? Find out all these answers, share the successes and commiserate with the problems of battling with bindweed and brambles. As the seasons change and the years pass by, enjoy a light-hearted look through my eyes and the camera lens at my private paradise.
Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

California ; 'From Hollyhocks to Hollywood'.
Two trips in spring and late summer to give talks to plantaholic Southern Californian Gardeners gave me the opportunity to enjoy the fabulous Mediterranean climate, landscape, native plants and gardens and to be the lucky recipient of American gardeners friendship, warmth and hospitality.
Influential Women Gardeners.
Many of the finest gardens made this century have been created by women. The contributions made by Vita Sackville-West,Margery Fish, Beth Chatto and many others not so famous are illustrated, using photographs of their creations.

National Trust 2 Part Lecture. The Baroque Garden in England.
Whilst many examples of the impressive formal Baroque Garden are to be found in Europe, in England they are rare. However these few, though smaller in size are no less wonderful as they beautifully illustrate the style and splendour of the fashionable, geometric 17th century pleasure garden. Using photographs of a range of restored gardens, we travel from the less well known Wrest Park and Castle Bromwich Hall to the better known Ham House and Westbury Court Garden. This lecture explores the sense of drama, complexity of composition and richness of ornamentation of the English Baroque garden.
